Why I came back to floor coating
I learned floor coating on a crew when I was young, then spent years in a different line of work before I came back and started Anchor El Paso Epoxy Flooring in 2017. Being away made me look at the trade with fresh eyes, and what pulled me back is still the question I like most, which is why one floor lasts for years and another peels.
Here in El Paso, a garage slab sits through June highs in the upper 90s, and most of its rain comes in July, August and September, so the part nobody sees, the slab and the prep under the finish, decides how long a floor holds up. We get the odd ones, like peeling garage floors, damp basements and old coatings nobody can name, from homeowners and from shop owners whose floors have to work hard. I'd rather spend extra time figuring out a strange slab than guess and hope. Our home page lists every kind of floor we put down.

What working with us is like
We find out why your slab is doing that
Before we recommend a floor, we look at what your concrete is doing, whether that's peeling, moisture or an old coating, so the system we suggest fits your slab and the way you use the space. Your estimate tells you what we found and why each step is there.
The person who quotes your job stays with it
I come out to look at the floor and write the estimate, and our own crew does the work. I'm on the job to check the prep before anything goes down, so what we talked about in your garage is what gets done.
We'll tell you when a floor isn't ready
If your slab needs something fixed first, we'll say so plainly and explain what has to happen, even when that means a smaller job for us. Ask any installer the same question before you sign, because coating over a problem doesn't make it go away.
Licenses, insurance and permits
Serving El Paso and 11 surrounding cities
Licensed and insured
Fully licensed and insured. That matters when a crew is grinding and coating inside your garage or shop, so ask us, or any installer you're comparing, to show it before work starts.
City registration and permits
The City of El Paso has general contractors register for listed residential work, from new houses and roofing to pools, foundations and grading, and registration calls for a general liability insurance certificate naming the city and a $50,000.00 blanket building construction bond. Permit rules change from one city and county to the next, so we check with the office that covers your address before we start, and if your job needs a permit, we handle the paperwork or walk you through it if you're filing as the owner.
Where we work
Anchor El Paso Epoxy Flooring is based in El Paso, Texas, and our crew works across the city and the cities around it in Texas and New Mexico, including Socorro and Sunland Park. These are the 12 areas with their own page, but they aren't the only places we go, so if you don't see yours, give us a call or ask through our contact page.
