Request an estimateIs a full epoxy system worth it over a quick roll-on coat?
Commercial and industrial epoxy floor coating in El Paso is a full coating system built over ground concrete, with a primer, a body coat with grit or flake scattered into it and a topcoat on top, so a shop, warehouse or showroom floor holds up to carts, forklifts and spills for years instead of peeling in a season.
Most calls I get about a working floor start one of two ways, with a roll-on coat flaking off in the drive lanes or with a new or gutted space where the owner wants the floor done once. The price moves with the square footage, how much old coating has to come off, which can be its own floor stripping and removal job when it's thick, the finish and topcoat you pick, and whether the slab needs a moisture fix before anything goes down. The schedule turns on the slab more than anything, since we don't pick a system until we know how damp it is, and on when your space can be cleared for the work. I'll give you your own number after I've looked at the floor on site.
How we install commercial and industrial epoxy floor coatings
On a working floor I'd rather spend the time grinding and priming than watch a cheap coat let go under traffic, so that's where most of the job goes. First I ask what the floor carries, whether it's foot traffic, pallet jacks, forklifts, oil or cleaning chemicals, because that decides how thick the system needs to be and which topcoat goes on last. Then we test the slab for moisture, and in a new or gutted building we wait until it's closed up, since an open shell can fool a moisture reading. Once the slab checks out, our crew grinds the concrete to open its surface so the primer can grab, fills cracks and pits, primes, lays the body coat with its grit or flake, finishes with the topcoat and cleans up behind us.
A lot of shop owners have the same peeling problem at home, and our garage floor coatings go down with the same grinding and priming, sized to a house. Where a floor needs a harder-wearing top layer, we can finish the epoxy build with a polyaspartic floor coating instead of an epoxy topcoat.
What changes a commercial epoxy floor job in El Paso
The city requires a building permit to build, enlarge, alter, repair, move or demolish a building or change how it's used, and that list doesn't name floor coating by itself, so it's worth asking early, while the job is still being planned, especially if the floor is part of a tenant build-out or a change of use. The city's One Stop Shop takes building permits and most business licenses, so that's the place to ask. Permit rules change from one city and county to the next, so we check with the office that covers your address before we start, and if your job needs a permit we handle the paperwork or walk you through it if you're filing as the owner.
Many of the shops and warehouses we coat have bay doors that open to the sun, and a floor that catches daylight is worth pricing with a polyaspartic or polyurea topcoat, which costs more but holds up to Texas UV better than plain epoxy. We see the same metal buildings, older slabs and tired recoats across El Paso and on jobs in Socorro and across the state line in Santa Teresa. We're based in El Paso and work the cities around it in Texas and New Mexico, so if yours isn't on our list, call and ask.
Why call us for commercial epoxy
I write your estimate myself
I come out to look at the floor and write the estimate, and I'm back on the job to check the prep before anything goes down. The grind and the primer are the parts nobody sees, and they decide whether the coating holds.
Our own crew since 2017
We've been in business since 2017, and our own crew does the work. We get a lot of the odd ones, like old coatings nobody can name and slabs that keep letting go, and I like working out why before we fix them.
Fully licensed and insured
We're fully licensed and insured. Grinders and coatings go down inside your business, so ask that of anyone you're weighing, not just us.
Ready for El Paso build-outs
The city's contractor registration has a commercial category for alterations, additions and tenant improvements, the kind of work a new floor is often part of. If your coating is part of a build-out, tell me early so the floor fits that plan.

Frequently asked questions
How long does a commercial epoxy floor last?
A full system that's ground, primed, built up and topcoated usually lasts 10 to 20 years, while a one-day roll-on epoxy with no grinding can peel under hot tires in a Texas summer. That gap is what the grinding and priming pay for, a floor that lasts years instead of a season.
What causes epoxy floor coatings to peel or blister?
Too much moisture in the concrete is one of the leading causes of blistering, peeling and outgassing, where gas works up through the coating and leaves pinholes. National coating guidance says to plan and budget for a moisture test before choosing a system, because the result shapes the whole job.
How much does commercial epoxy flooring cost in El Paso, TX?
Epoxy floor coating in El Paso usually costs about $3 to $10 per square foot. Heavy urethane cement, static-control floors and high-build coatings that have to meet chemical, heat or compliance requirements are priced by the project and the performance spec, not by the foot. Where your floor lands comes out of the on-site estimate.
How do I fix a damp concrete slab before putting down epoxy?
Usually with a moisture vapor mitigation system, a coating made for the job, often a thick, high-solids epoxy, laid over the prepared concrete to limit the vapor rising under your finish. Each one is rated for certain moisture levels, so the test result decides which one fits, and it adds to the total.
Does it matter if there's no vapor barrier under my concrete slab?
It can, because a slab poured on the ground without a vapor retarder under it may stay too damp for coatings that don't tolerate moisture. Ask the building owner or check the plans if you can, and if nobody knows, the moisture test shows us what we're working with.
What moisture limit should an epoxy floor installer test against?
The coating maker's limit for the product going down, since pass or fail numbers come from the maker and no single number applies to every coating. Ask any installer which maker's limit they're testing against, and if they can't tell you, keep asking around.
Other floor work you may need
Garage Floor Coatings
Home garages take hot tires, oil drips and dropped tools, and a coated floor sweeps clean and stands up to all of it far better than bare concrete.
Polyaspartic Floor Coatings
When a floor sits near open bay doors or big windows, this topcoat holds its color and gloss in the sun better than a plain epoxy finish does.
